Observation #2
These pictures were taken on March 13 at 2:00 pm. The base of the celery is visibly red. Inside, we can see water starting to move up the stalk of the celery.
Observation #1- 12:00 pm on 3/13
As you can see, the celery stalks absorbed little of the blue-colored water after 2 hours. Although it is not visible in the picture, the base of the celery is slightly light blue and there is a very thin small line (about one inch long) toward the top of the celery, when sliced open.

That is the question that our class is asking ourselves. To prepare for our science fair, we are conducting our own experiment and filling out copies of our Science Project Journals together. Stay tuned for our results!
